Early Playtest Finally Available
Hello World
On March 15th, after finishing a long day of coding, a thought occurred to me- the game is super hard right now and I'd love to watch someone try it. After sending the build to a few people in the game's small discord server, I started getting a bunch of feedback on the game's performance, as well as several exclamations of how fun the game was. About a day later I decided to open the playtest up to the rest of my discord. The feedback I've gotten so far about what needs to be fixed or improved, as well as the overwhelming excitement about the game, have been super helpful already and are possibly the best thing that could have happened for the game at this point. Eventually, due to the game's growing popularity, the Google Drive based downloads began to be limited by Google. I love making fast updates to fix issues and make the game better so I knew that I needed to find a better solution. The game is not quite feature complete at this time so I'm hesitant to start the steam playtest- on top of that there's a several-day review process that I can't skip- so I decided to get the game posted on itch.
There are many known issues and bugs. Controller-users will find that certain buttons don't work, powerup items need better descriptions, key rebinding only works from the start menu, the tutorial needs to be updated for the reworked turbo-boost, the UI still needs work, and much more. However, the game is already super fun, so I would love to let people try it out in exchange for helping me find things that are broken or should be improved.
I care so much about this game, and I really want it to become the best possible version of itself. If you try it out and leave feedback I am eternally grateful.
Thanks,
Sage
